Our SOJP Weekend Began April 17th Friday Night: Poetry, Music & Celebration
The festivities began with a poetry open mic followed by a special performance from our featured poet UNCLE Turp_thepoet.
Afterward, The evening concluded with an unforgettable musical journey led by DJ Special K.
Then on April 18th Saturday Night: A Fusion of Art Forms
The celebration continued with special presentation of “Reciprocity” — Conversation Between Two Art Forms.
The Naomi Cuellar Quintet blew us away with their special brand of Latin, Afro-Cuban and Straight-Ahead Jazz with a little R & B sprinkled in.
Our special guest poet James C. Ellerbe tantalized with his wordsmithing.
